...The Flood Warning continues for the following river and locations in Indiana... Wabash River at Lafayette, Montezuma, and Covington. .Minor flooding continues on the Wabash River at Lafayette, and it will begin at Montezuma and Covington late this evening. The river crested less than one foot above flood stage at Lafayette late this morning, and the level will drop below flood stage overnight tonight. Crests at Montezuma and Covington will occur Friday. New flood warnings may be needed Friday for Hutsonville and Riverton in anticipation of possible flooding of about one foot or less that could start Friday night or Saturday morning and last as late as Monday. Upcoming rainfall Friday into Saturday is expected to have negligible effect on area waterways.

* WHERE...Wabash River at Lafayette.

* WHEN...Until early tomorrow afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 11.0 feet, Nuisance flooding of a couple of low
agricultural fields begins in far western part of Tippecanoe
County.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 9:30 PM EDT Thursday the stage was 11.3 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 9:30 PM EDT Thursday was 11.8 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
just after midnight tonight and continue falling and remain
below flood stage.
- Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
