...PATCHY DENSE FOG DEVELOPING ACROSS THE WESTERN PIEDMONT OF
NORTH CAROLINA...

Leftover low level moisture and light wind has allowed fog to
develop tonight over much of the western Piedmont of North
Carolina. In some locations, the visibility had dropped down to
one quarter mile, particularly in the area from Shelby and Hickory
to Lincolnton, Statesville, and Salisbury. If the dense fog
becomes more widespread, a Dense Fog Advisory may be issued. In
the mean time, if you are traveling across the western Piedmont
tonight, be on the lookout for sharply reduced visibility in thick
fog. Slow down and leave extra room in front of your vehicle.
