...Strong Winds and Very High Fire Danger This Afternoon...

Northwest winds of 20 to 30 mph with gusts of 35 to 45 mph are
expected through the late afternoon. The strong winds, along with
warm temperatures and low humidity, will result in a high fire
danger for grasslands. Any fires that develop will spread
quickly. The windy conditions will make travel difficult for high
profile vehicles and for drivers of vans, campers, and trailers.

Avoid brush or grass burning today, use caution with farm and
outdoor equipment, and do not carelessly discard cigarettes. If
traveling, keep two hands on the wheel and drive with extra
caution.
