...HIGH WIND WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 AM EST WEDNESDAY...

* WHAT...Southeast winds 25 to 40 mph with gusts up to 60 mph
expected.

* WHERE...In District of Columbia, District of Columbia. In
Maryland, Prince Georges, Charles, Central and Southeast
Montgomery and Central and Southeast Howard Counties. In
Virginia, Fairfax, Stafford, King George and Central and
Southeast Prince William/Manassas/Manassas Park Counties, and
Arlington/Falls Church/Alexandria.

* WHEN...Until 1 AM EST Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines.
Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be
difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

People should avoid being outside in forested areas and around
trees and branches. If possible, remain in the lower levels of
your home during the windstorm, and avoid windows. Use caution if
you must drive.
