...WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS EVENING TO 6 AM
CST WEDNESDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 7 to 12
inches. Winds could gust as high as 40 mph Tuesday afternoon
through Tuesday night leading to considerable blowing and
drifting snow.

* WHERE...Portions of north central, northwest and west central
Illinois and east central, northeast and southeast Iowa.

* WHEN...From 6 PM this evening to 6 AM CST Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. Blowing snow could
significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions could
impact the evening commute on Monday, and the commutes Tuesday
into Wednesday morning.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A long duration snow event with two to
three periods of heavy snow is expected. Amounts up to a foot of
snow are likely.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

your vehicle in case of an emergency.
