...The National Weather Service in Sacramento CA has issued a Flood
Warning for the following rivers in California...
San Joaquin River Near Vernalis affecting San Joaquin County.
.The San Joaquin River at Vernalis has reached flood stage and is
expected to rise above 29.5 feet early Sunday morning. This is a
result of latest storm's runoff and reservoir operators maintaining
elevated releases due to large snowpack.

...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT FROM THIS MORNING UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE...
* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...San Joaquin River near Vernalis.
* WHEN...From this morning until further notice.
* IMPACTS...At 21.0 feet, Seepage begins into crop area outside of
levees.
At 26.0 feet, Severe seepage occurs outside the levees. The area
covered by seepage will increase as the river stage rises.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 7:45 AM PDT Friday the stage was 29.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to 29.6 feet early
Sunday morning. Additional rises are possible thereafter.
- Flood stage is 29.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
29.8 feet on 03/18/1986.
