...WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS EVENING TO NOON MST
TUESDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations generally
between 3 and 6 inches with higher amounts of 6 to 8 inches
expected in eastern Lincoln county and southwestern Guadalupe
county. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph.

* WHERE...Central Highlands, Eastern Lincoln County, South Central
Highlands, Curry County, De Baca County, Guadalupe County, Quay
County, Roosevelt County, and Southwest Chaves County.

* WHEN...From 6 PM this evening to Noon MST Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. Tire traction will be
reduced. Extend the distance between your vehicle and the vehicle
in front of you. This includes along portions of I-40. The
hazardous conditions could impact the Monday evening and Tuesday
morning commutes.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Winter travel impacts are likely along
Interstate 40 and U.S. Highways 54, 60, 70, 84, and 285 through
eastern NM.
