...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 1 PM TO 9 PM MDT WEDNESDAY FOR
GUSTY WINDS, LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY AND DRY FUELS FOR FIRE WEATHER
ZONES 203 AND 292 BELOW 8000 FEET...

The National Weather Service in Grand Junction has issued a Red
Flag Warning below 8000 feet for gusty winds, low relative
humidity and dry fuels, which is in effect from 1 PM to 9 PM MDT
Wednesday. The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect.

* AFFECTED AREA...In Colorado, Fire Weather Zone 203 Lower
Colorado River and Fire Weather Zone 292 North Fork Forecast
Area below 8000 feet.

* WINDS...Southwest 15 to 25 mph with gusts 30 to 40 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...10 to 15 percent.

* IMPACTS...Conditions will become favorable for rapid ignition
and spread of fires.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
