The National Weather Service in San Diego has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
Southeastern San Diego County in southwestern California...

* Until 630 PM PDT.

* At 332 PM PDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Flash flooding is expected to
begin shortly. Rainfall rates of 1 to 1.5 inches per hour are
occurring between Pine Valley and Boulevard.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
I-8 Between Boulevard And Imperial County Line, southeastern Mount
Laguna, I-8 Between Pine Valley And Boulevard, Boulevard, La Posta
Indian Reservation, Live Oak Springs, Jacumba, Manzanita Indian
Reservation, Campo Indian Reservation and Tierra Del Sol.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, country roads, farmland, and other low lying
spots.
