...EXCESSIVE HEAT WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM TO 8 PM PDT
WEDNESDAY...

The National Weather Service in San Diego has issued an Excessive
Heat Warning...which is in effect from 11 AM to 8 PM PDT
Wednesday. The Excessive Heat Watch is no longer in effect.

* Temperature...High temperatures of 112 to 118.

* Impacts...Overexposure to the heat can cause heat cramps and
heat exhaustion to develop. Without intervention, that can lead
to heat stroke. Do not leave young children or pets in parked
vehicles.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

An Excessive Heat Warning means that a period of dangerously hot
temperatures will occur with heat illnesses possible. Drink
plenty of fluids...stay in an air-conditioned room...stay out of
the sun... and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Young children and pets should never be left unattended in
vehicles under any circumstances. This is especially true during
warm or hot weather when car interiors can reach lethal
temperatures in a matter of minutes.
