...A LINE OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL AFFECT PERRY...MORGAN AND
NORTHWESTERN ATHENS COUNTIES...

At 1258 AM EDT, radar indicated strong thunderstorms were located
along a line extending from 7 miles west of Zanesville to 6 miles
south of Logan. Movement was east at 40 mph.

Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail are possible with these
storms.

Locations impacted include...
Nelsonville, New Lexington, Glouster, McConnelsville, Somerset,
Shawnee, Chesterhill, Perry State Forest, Crooksville, Chauncey,
Junction City, New Straitsville, Malta, Corning, Buchtel,
Jacksonville, Murray City, Trimble, Hemlock and Amesville.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms, and may
cause localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
