...EXCESSIVE HEAT WATCH IN EFFECT FROM MONDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH
THURSDAY EVENING...

The National Weather Service in Sacramento has issued an
Excessive Heat Watch, which is in effect from Monday afternoon
through Thursday evening.

* TEMPERATURE...High temperatures 100-112 degrees, hottest across
the northern Sacramento Valley. Overnight lows in the mid 60s-
low 70s.

* IMPACTS...Long outdoor exposure will increase chances for heat-
related illness, especially for sensitive groups and people
without access to AC. Heat stress possible for livestock.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

An Excessive Heat Watch means that a prolonged period of hot
temperatures is expected. This may lead to a DANGEROUS SITUATION
in which heat illnesses are possible. Drink plenty of fluids, stay
in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on
relatives and neighbors.
