CENTRAL SARASOTA COUNTIES...
At 204 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located over Lake Sarasota,
or 9 miles east of Sarasota, moving north at 15 mph.
Winds in excess of 40 mph are possible with this storm.
Locations impacted include...
Sarasota, Lake Sarasota, Myakka River State Park, The Meadows,
Lakewood Ranch, North Sarasota, Sarasota Springs, Kensington Park,
Gator Creek Estate, Desoto Lakes, Fruitville and Bee Ridge.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may cause
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
