...HIGH WIND WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 AM EDT SUNDAY...

* WHAT...Northeast winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts of 50 to 60 mph.

* WHERE...The eastern Massachusetts coast as well as the south coasts
of both Rhode Island and Massachusetts. This includes Cape Cod and
the Islands.

* WHEN...Until 8 AM EDT Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines.
Power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult, especially
for high profile vehicles.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The long duration of the winds coupled with
heavy rain and fully leafed trees may exacerbate the risk for tree
damage and power outages.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

People are urged to secure loose objects that could be blown around
or damaged by the wind.
