...HIGH SURF ADVISORY FOR EAST FACING SHORES OF MOLOKAI AND MAUI AND FOR EAST AND SOUTHEAST SHORES OF THE BIG ISLAND... .Tropical Storm Nolo is forecast to continue strengthening south of the Big Island tonight as it tracks northward. It is then forecast to move westward this weekend, with the center remaining south of the main Hawaiian Islands. However, a short period south swell and strong winds generated by Nolo will produce advisory level surf along exposed east and southeast facing shores.

* WHAT...Large breaking waves of 7 to 10 feet, increasing to 8 to
12 feet for the Big Island on Friday.

* WHERE...East facing shores of Molokai and Maui. East and
southeast facing shores of the Big Island.

* WHEN...Until 6 PM HST Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Moderate. Strong breaking waves and strong currents
will make swimming dangerous.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Heed all advice from ocean safety officials. When in doubt, don't
go out.
