...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 845 PM MDT THIS EVENING...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Portions of east central and southeast Utah, including the
following counties, in east central Utah, Grand. In southeast
Utah, San Juan. Northern portions of Canyonlands National Park.
* WHEN...Until 845 PM MDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 536 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
mainly rural areas of Southwestern Grand and Northern San
Juan Counties including northern portions of Canyonlands
National Park.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Canyonlands National Park is prone to rockslides and mudslides in
heavy rain. Stay alert for rocks and debris on roads, and avoid
driving on flooded roads. Find an alternate route.
