* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
Southeastern McDonough County in west central Illinois...
* Until 445 PM CDT.
* At 408 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Pennington
Point, or near Macomb, moving east at 60 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
to roofs, siding, and trees.
* Locations impacted include...
Macomb, Industry, Bardolph, New Philadelphia, Western Illinois
University, Adair, Fandon, Pennington Point, McDonough County 4-H
Grounds, and Spring Lake.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
sturdy building.
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM CDT for west central
Illinois.
