* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
Southeastern Hancock County in west central Illinois...
McDonough County in west central Illinois...
* Until 615 PM CDT.
* At 514 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Webster to Chatton, moving east at 40 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
* Locations impacted include...
Macomb, Bushnell, Colchester, Augusta, Bowen, Industry, Bardolph,
Tennessee, Western Illinois University, Adair, Fandon, New
Philadelphia, Colmar, Plymouth, Pennington Point, Macomb Municipal
Airport, Doddsville, McDonough County 4-H Grounds, Hancock County
Fairgrounds, and Argyle Lake State Park.
This also includes Argyle Lake State Park.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
sturdy building.
Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 900 PM CDT for west central
Illinois.
