The National Weather Service in Salt Lake City has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
Central Tooele County in northern Utah...

* Until 645 PM MDT.

* At 546 PM MDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Knolls to 11 miles southwest of Clive to 15
miles south of Utah Test and Training Range South, moving northeast
at 25 mph.

HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Observations along I-80.

IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to
mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

* Locations impacted include...
Utah Test and Training Range South, Delle, Knolls, Clive, Utah Test
and Training Range North, Dugway Proving Ground Test Range, and
Great Salt Lake South of the Causeway.

This includes Interstate 80 in Utah between mile markers 32 and 72.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Large hail and damaging winds and continuous cloud to ground
lightning is occurring with these storms. Move indoors immediately.
Lightning is one of nature's leading killers. Remember, if you can
hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning.
