* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.
* WHERE...A portion of central New Mexico, including the following
area, South Central Mountains.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- High available moisture combined with daytime heating north of a
system over far West Texas will result in the development of
scattered to numerous thunderstorms across the Sacramento
Mountains midday Friday. These thunderstorms capable of producing
heavy rainfall are expected to be anchored along the ridgeline of
the Sacramento Mountains during the afternoon hours, thus
resulting in a higher potential for flash flooding on the Ruidoso
area and Seven Cabins burn scars.
- Areas on and downstream of the South Fork and Salt burn scars in
Ruidoso and the Seven Cabins burn scar in the Capitan Mountains.
