Southwestern Harrison County in northeastern Texas...
Northeastern Rusk County in northeastern Texas...
* Until 245 PM CDT.
* At 206 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Hallsville,
or 12 miles west of Marshall, moving southwest at 10 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.
* Locations impacted include...
Longview, Hallsville, Tatum, Lakeport, Easton and Chalk Hill.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds and large
hail.
Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning is one of nature's leading killers. Remember, if you can
hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
