* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
Autauga County in central Alabama...
Western Elmore County in east central Alabama...
Northern Lowndes County in south central Alabama...
Northeastern Dallas County in south central Alabama...
Northwestern Montgomery County in south central Alabama...

* Until 500 PM CDT.

* At 401 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Mulberry, or
12 miles east of Valley Grande, moving east at 40 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
Montgomery, Prattville, Selma, Millbrook, Wetumpka, Valley Grande,
Selmont-West Selmont, Pike Road, Elmore, Coosada, Deatsville,
Autaugaville, White Hall, Billingsley, Lowndesboro, Benton, Hyundai
Motors Of Alabama, Auburn University In Montgomery, Tyler, and
Autauga County Airport.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Large hail, damaging wind, and continuous cloud to ground lightning
are occurring with this storm. Move indoors immediately. Lightning is
one of nature's leading killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder,
you are close enough to be struck by lightning.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM CDT for central,
south central and east central Alabama.
