...INCREASED FIRE DANGER IN EFFECT FOR NOON TO 6 PM TODAY...

The combination of low relative humidity values from near 20
percent to 25 percent, very dry fuels, and wind gusts
occasionally to 25 mph will produce increased fire danger across
portions northwest North Carolina from noon to 6 PM today.

Outdoor burning is discouraged. Please consult your local burn
permitting authorities as to whether burning is allowed. If you
must burn, use extreme caution, as fires can spread rapidly under
these conditions.
