...INCREASED FIRE DANGER THROUGH 7 PM TODAY...

Dry fuels from lack of rainfall, low relative humidity values,
and gusts up to 30-35 mph are resulting in increased fire danger
this afternoon, likely continuing through the early evening for
portions of central South Carolina and east central Georgia. RH
values are expected to fall to 25-30% with these west-northwest
gusts to 30-35 mph.

As a reminder, the South Carolina Forestry Commission also has a
Red Flag Fire Alert out for 33 South Carolina counties today,
strongly encouraging citizens to postpone any burning this
afternoon and into this evening.

Outdoor burning is discouraged. Consult your local burn
permitting authority on whether you may burn today. Use caution
in any activities that could spark a fire.
