...INCREASED FIRE DANGER IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM EST THIS MORNING
THROUGH THIS AFTERNOON FOR THE SOUTHERN PIEDMONT AND THE
SANDHILLS OF CENTRAL NORTH CAROLINA...
The combination of low relative humidity values near 25 to 30
percent, very dry fuels, and wind gusts of up to 30 to 35 mph will
produce increased fire danger across the southern Piedmont into
the Sandhills of central North Carolina from late morning through
the afternoon today.
Outdoor burning is discouraged. Please consult your local burn
permitting authorities as to whether burning is allowed. If you
must burn, use extreme caution, as fires can spread rapidly under
these conditions.
