...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 4 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO 5 AM
MST FRIDAY...
* WHAT...Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 6 inches
below 7,500 feet with higher amounts of 6 to 12 inches above 7,500
feet. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph.
* WHERE...South Central Mountains and West Central Plateau.
* WHEN...From 4 PM this afternoon to 5 AM MST Friday.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. Tire traction will be
reduced. Extend the distance between your vehicle and the vehicle
in front of you. This includes along portions of I-40. The
hazardous conditions will impact the Wednesday evening and Thursday
morning commutes. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow levels will initially be high between
7,000 and 8,000 feet Wednesday evening before gradually lowering to
all areas late Thursday.
