* Until 1230 PM CST.
* At 1154 AM CST, a dangerous snow squall was located along a line
extending from Collins to Carlisle to 4 miles northeast of New
Virginia, moving east at 20 mph.
HAZARD...Whiteout conditions with near zero visibility associated
with intense bursts of heavy snow and gusty winds leading
to blowing snow. Wind gusts greater than 45 mph.

IMPACT...Dangerous and life-threatening travel conditions are
expected to develop rapidly in the warning area.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 35 between mile markers 87 and 103.
Interstate 80 between mile markers 131 and 158.
Interstate 235 between mile markers 3 and 14.

Des Moines, West Des Moines, Ankeny, Urbandale, Johnston, Indianola,
Altoona, Norwalk, Pleasant Hill, Windsor Heights, Carlisle,
