...BRIEF SURGE OF STRONG WINDS...
As a cold front sweeps across the area this evening, a surge of
strong west-northwest winds will follow. The strongest gusts,
potentially reaching 40 to 50 mph in spots, will generally last an
hour or less at any given location. Even so, gusts of this
magnitude are capable of blowing around lightweight objects,
causing localized minor tree damage and power outages, and
creating difficult driving conditions for high profile vehicles.

The Baltimore and Washington metropolitan areas between 930 PM
