...WIND ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 PM CDT THIS AFTERNOON...
...FREEZE WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 2 AM TO 10 AM CDT WEDNESDAY...
* WHAT...For the Wind Advisory, north winds 25 to 35 mph. For the
Freeze Warning, sub-freezing temperatures from the mid 20s to near
30 degrees expected.
* WHERE...The South Plains and the far southwestern and
south-central Texas Panhandle.
* WHEN...For the Wind Advisory, until 4 PM CDT this afternoon. For
the Freeze Warning, from 2 AM to 10 AM CDT Wednesday.
* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects and a few
power outages may result. Frost and freeze conditions could kill
crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected
outdoor plumbing.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high
profile vehicles and along east to west oriented roadways. Use extra
caution.
Secure outdoor objects.
