...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTH CENTRAL MOFFAT AND CENTRAL
RIO BLANCO COUNTIES THROUGH 1145 AM MDT...

At 1115 AM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 29
miles southwest of Meeker, or 51 miles north of Grand Junction,
moving northeast at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation and
outdoor objects is possible.

Locations impacted include...
Meeker, Axial, Juniper Springs, and Buford.

This includes the following highways...
U.S. Highway 40 in Colorado between mile markers 61 and 65.
Colorado 13 between mile markers 24 and 63.
Colorado 64 between mile markers 46 and 73.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
