...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT NORTHWESTERN CABARRUS...
SOUTHEASTERN IREDELL AND SOUTHWESTERN ROWAN COUNTIES THROUGH 630 PM
EDT...

At 544 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 8 miles northwest of Kannapolis to 9 miles
north of Huntersville. Movement was east at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is
possible.

Locations impacted include...
Mooresville, China Grove, Landis, Enochville, Granite Quarry, Faith,
and Kannapolis.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
