BELOW 6500 FEET...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.
* WHERE...A portion of northern California, including the following
areas, Carquinez Strait and Delta, Central Sacramento Valley,
Motherlode, Mountains Southwestern Shasta County to Western Colusa
County, Northeast Foothills/Sacramento Valley, Northern Sacramento
Valley, Northern San Joaquin Valley, Shasta Lake Area / Northern
Shasta County, Southern Sacramento Valley, West Slope Northern
Sierra Nevada and Western Plumas County/Lassen Park.
* WHEN...Through Sunday evening.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur
in poor drainage and urban areas. There is the potential for mud
and rock slides in the foothills and mountains.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Periods of moderate to heavy rainfall are expected over the
next 48 hours with totals from 2 to 4 inches in the Valley, 3
to 8 inches in the foothills, and 5 to 10 inches in the
mountains below 6500 feet. Heaviest rain expected from this
afternoon through Saturday afternoon.
