...Brief very strong winds possible tonight...

Winds will gradually increase to 20 to 30 mph with gusts to 35 mph
through early evening and continue overnight.

A band of showers, and possibly a couple of thunderstorms, will
move through the area between 7 PM and 3 AM. During the passage
of this band of convection, brief localized wind gusts up to 50
mph will be possible.

Right now the most likely area to see brief localized wind gusts
up to 50 mph are generally south of a line from Sterling, Illinois
to Fairfield, Iowa.
